We started HOV in early '18 years of building companies. In 2021–22 we acquired multiple professional services businesses, believing we could integrate technology and scale. We couldn't. The antibodies were real.

We tried to build a centralized pattern library. Partners refused to use it — every case was "different" (because customization justified billing). The people who knew what to encode were the ones who couldn't be incentivized to encode it.
